Its always an embarrassing moment when you see someone at a formal occasion with big white lables on the bottom of their shoes male or female. You certainly don’t want this on yor wedding day and don’t be fooled in to thinking this is a quick job to be done on the day.

Removing labels from the bottom of a shoe can be extremely time consuming so we highly recommend that you make sure this has been done way before the day of your wedding.  Grooms you are no exception in this one! Check those new gleaming shoes to make sure their isn’t a sticker on the sole.

Here’s a few quick tips for removing them quickly and safely:

• Make sure you use a soft cloth to avoid damaging shoe
• Warm water works well for removing stickers
• Don’t apply too much water as this could stain the shoe
• Leave yourself plenty of time to complete this

Arrange an Interview with Your Photographer

Make sure that you get an interview with your photographer before the wedding to ensure he will be able to complete the job to your specifications and taste.

You may want to ask him to bring along examples of photographs that he has taken in the past so you can check if his style is what you want your wedding photographs to look like.

Help your Photographer out!

At the interview you will also need help the photographer by revealing as much detail about your day as possible. Let him to understand how events will roll out and where you would expect him to be at specific times.

You may also want to give him any tips on locations that would be good for photographs. Is there a picturesque garden near the church that you would like some photos in…? All these tip-offs will help you to get the best possible photos out of your photographer.

Let Your Photographer be Creative

Remember that a photographer will probably have many years experience in his field, so you need to trust his skill and allow him to complete his work without restraining his creativity too much.

Understand the photographers background and look at any examples that he may have. Look at his style carefully and see if that’s what you want your photos to be like.

Very often photographers will inadvertently create a style, and this will be hard to change just for your day, so choose carefully.

Choose a Photographer That Communicates

You’ll want to make sure you hire a photographer that communicates well. If a certain location isn’t working well, you need a photographer that will have the confidence to tell you. You’ll also need to regularly communicate with him on the day to make sure he’s getting on ok.

Be polite and instructive and allow his creativity to shine. This, as well as the tips above, will help to improve the quality of your wedding photographs and get the results that you want!

This comes in particularly handy when organising weddings on a tight budget, because printing and posting invitations the traditional way is an expensive business.

E-invitations may not have the traditional feel of a handwritten, hand-posted invitation, but when money is the biggest issue on your mind, sending an e-invitation is one of the best ways to save money.

Not only is it a cheap way of sending an invitation to your wedding, but its also fast and convenient to most people, as many will pick up e-mails in work, or spend a lot of time on their computer anyway.

E-mailing, or ‘Facebooking’ an invitation to your friends also means that their RSPVs will be much quicker, freeing up more time to organise other important aspects of your special day.

Facebook and E-mail are probably the best way of sending out a group e-mail quickly. Twitter is also cost-effective but will take more time to complete, as you are limited to sending 140 character messages to each friend, one at a time.

E-mail and Facebook allows you to invite friends and family en-mass, saving the hassle of trawling through each individual friend and writing a new message.

This one is for the ladies and concerns the hairstyling which the bride and bridesmaids traditionally have done on the day of the wedding.

Its a simple tip – To avoid ruining all the careful styling work by lifting a jumper or t-shirt over the top when getting changed, wear a shirt instead!

Most brides and bridesmaids will feel that wearing a t-shirt or jumper is the right thing to do because its causal, but these items are difficult to pull over the head after the haircut or hairstyling is complete. A buttoned shirt an ideal solution to this problem.

This can be easily removed after the haircut and style is complete without having to interfere with your head at all.

But what if you desperately want a wedding cake, and don’t have the money? The good news is there are ways of getting high quality wedding cakes on a low budget.

The first port of call should be to ask around your friends and family. There may be a keen cake maker somewhere in your friends or family that will be glad to help out. This is a great place to start and can often bring positive results.

Get the wedding cake as a gift

Another idea is to get your wedding cake as a gift so that it doesn’t take any money from the budget. A few of your friends could club together to pay for the cake, or maybe your family will be willing to chip in to add the finishing touch to your day.

Make it yourself

A lot of you may think that a wedding in winter is unheard of, but for some couples there is no time like the present; putting up with the harsh weather conditions is an necessary evil.

If you want to have a wedding in winter then we seriously suggest you look at planning it to happen as early in the day as possible. This will ensure that there is enough available light for all the fantastic wedding photographs that will be taken, and it means that you will be inside for the reception once it goes dark.

2. Brides, Invest in a Warm Jacket

No-one likes to be hanging around outside at this time of the year but sometimes the photography and the ceremony can result in some standing around in the elements. We recommend you invest in a decent ‘winter-proof’ jacket to ensure that you can stay warm in-between the service, and at any point where you need to be outside.

Also be mindful of what outfits you choose for your bridesmaids. Warm elegant dresses will ensure they are all comfortable and remain happy.

3. Choose a Venue Carefully

Does the venue you plan to use mean that many of your guests will have to linger outside? Consider that the weather conditions are not going to be predictable, and appreciate that most of your guests will want to be inside where it is warm and dry.
